Flowbulk is based upon solvent free polyurethane resin technology and is additionally reinforced with conventional graded silica sands. It is intended as a levelling underlayment or infill for floor surfaces which require levelling and or repair prior to the application of a specified epoxy resin or polyurethane resin flooring system.

    Suitable Surfaces: Concrete, Grano, Asphalt

    Typical Installations

As a repair compound prior to application of specified floor finish.

    To level out a floor.

This is not designed as a floor finish in its own right.

    Surface Preparation

Surfaces to be treated must be sound free from oil or other contaminants, flaky paints, laitance and dust. Smooth and dense surfaces must be mechanically abraded to provide a key and all dust

    Usage: Indoor or Outdoor

Resistant to: Flowbulk is not designed or recommended for use as a chemical resistant finish. Ultimate chemical resistance will depend upon the overlying specified resin or polyurethane system

Coverage: At 10mm, one 28.20kg unit will cover 1.41sqm

Drying Time: At 10mm and 20 degrees cures to light traffic in 6-8 hours.

    Thickness: 10mm-60mm

Primer: Surfaces to be treated with Flowbulk should be primed previously with Flowprime TC. The Flowbulk should be applied into the Flowprime TC whilst still tacky to ensure maximum adhesion is obtained.

    Priming

Surfaces to be treated with Flowbulk should be primed previously with Flowprime TC. Flowbulk should be applied into the Flowprime TC whilst still tacky to ensure maximum adhesion is obtained.

    Application Conditions

Ideal ambient and substrate temperature range is 15 - 25 ºC. The substrate and uncured floor must be kept at least 3 ºC above the dew point to reduce the risk of condensation or blooming on the surface, from before priming to at least 48 hours after application

    Mixing & Application

Flowbulk is a three pack product. Pour and fully and drain the hardener component into the resin component and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous liquid is achieved. Transfer the mixed resins into a rotary drum mixer and add the aggregate slowly in stages until evenly wetted. Apply by plasterer’s float directly into tacky Flowprime TC and apply even pressure in order to effect a smooth impervious sealed surface. Depending upon the nature of the surface being treated, the use of laths and/or screeding bars may be necessary to ensure a level surface is maintained
