Strongcoat Epoxy Coating – Virtus Resins

Strongcoat V Coloured is a high build chemically resistant epoxy floor coating which provides the maximum protection in the minimum number of coats. Strongcoat V Coloured exhibits high levels of abrasion resistance and is used in conjunction with Virtus resin flooring to produce a continuous seamless finish onto vertical surfaces.

Gloss coloured smooth finish.

Surface Preparation

To be assured of maximum adhesion and properties from Virtus resin products, the correct surface preparation is essential. We recommend shot blasting to provide the floor with a key, and diamond grinding to remove previous coatings.

Coverage

Approximately 0.20 kg per sqm per coat.

Primer

Strongcoat V Coloured does not normally require a primer. When treating extremely weak or porous concrete it is advisable to prime with Flowprime SF.

Priming

Strongcoat ‘V’ does not normally require a primer . When treating extremely week or porous concrete it is advisable to prime with Flowprime SF.

Mixing

Add full contents of hardener container to full contents of resin container and mix with a slow speed stirrer for at least 2 minutes. Use a spatula to scrape the sides and bottom of the mixing vessel several times as unmixed material will result in uncured patches in the final finish.

Application

Apply by brush or medium pile simulated sheepskin roller working well into the surface taking care not to exceed the coverage rate.
