Flowmaintain Joint Repair is a low odour polyurethane concrete which has been specifically designed to repair joint arrises in concrete floor slabs. Flowmaintain Joint Repair is designed with the highest order of durability, impact and abrasion resistance

    Advantages

    • Resin rich - easier and quicker to apply than stiffer screeds.
    • Good chemical resistance
    • High abrasion resistance
    • Cures at low temperatures
    • Impact resistant
    • Unlike epoxy mortar compounds which can be sticky to apply, Flowmaintain Joint Repair has a similar consistency as a cement based mortar and can be placed and trowelled to a closed finish.

    Surface Preparation

Inadequate preparation will lead to loss of adhesion and failure. Surfaces should be clean and free of any loose material, oils or contamination.

    Coverage

10 kg covers approximately 1sqm at 5 mm thickness.

    Drying Time

Cure time to light pedestrian traffic is 6 hours. Cure time to light wheeled traffic is 24 hours.

    Thickness

    5 – 10 mm

    Primer

Flowmaintain Joint Repair contains a small percentage of water and will tolerate application onto slightly damp, but not wet, surfaces. Dry, porous surfaces should be primed using Flowprime TC.

    Priming:

Flowmaintain Joint Repair contains a small percentage of water and will tolerate application onto slightly damp, but not wet, surfaces. Dry, porous surfaces should be primed using Flowprime TC.

    Application Conditions:

Resin products should not be mixed and laid outside of the range 10°C to 25 °C. Localised heating or cooling equipment may be required outside this range to achieve ideal temperature conditions. To reduce the risk of blooming” caused by condensation, the climate above the uncured floor should be maintained at least 3 °C above the dew point until subsequent toppings are applied.

    Mixing & Application:

Add the hardener component to the resin component and stir thoroughly until an even consistency. Decant the mixture into the plastic bucket provided and mix using a using a low speed electric mixer (200 - 500 rpm) gradually adding the aggregate component whilst continuing the mixing action. When all the aggregate has been added, mix for minimum of 3 minutes until a uniform, lump-free mix is obtained. Care should be taken to ensure that any material adhering to the sides, bottom and corners of the mixer is thoroughly blended in. Apply to pre-prepared areas to the required thickness using a steel float.
